Week # 3

Hi Everyone,

I'm doing pretty good...it's been a pretty good week. I had my first baptism and confirmation. I was way nervous about both, but they went really well. I confirmed her the next day at church, too. Her name is Ann Marie...pictures coming soon.

A miracle happened this past week. Elder Brough and I were planning for I day and he asked who I thought we should go see. A guy named Shannon came to my mind so we went to visit him, but he wasn't home. His neighbors were in their yard fixing a flat tire on their van so we went and talked to them. They were on their way to the Baptist church for some speaker or something. We asked if we could come teach them a lesson and they said yes. We went back and taught the dad because the rest of the family was gone. We taught him about the restoration and he loved it. His wife wants to sit in on the lessons, too. Turns out they have 13 kids, but only 7 live at home. Oh yeah, and when they went to leave for the Baptist church thing, their van wouldn't start. The Lord works in VERY mysterious ways. This definitely is the hardest thing I have ever done. Satan is always working on us. It's so annoying and I hate it, but I guess it's going to happen.

I remember going to the Fire on the Water last year, it was way fun. Surprisingly I'm not missing summer and all that stuff that much. How is the boating going this summer? I miss it. But I'm really happy here. I hate Satan, he works on us each day and sometimes it seems like there is no relief but there always is. That's funny about your branch president and the music. I haven't had many experiences like that yet but I'm sure I will. Nothing too funny has been happening, we work a ton which is good and I'm exhausted every night. Tracting is getting easier and I'm starting to enjoy that. I can't imagine what I would be doing if I was home right now. I've already almost been out 2 months hahaha. If I would have been with you at the lake, I would've dove off the top, too. We need to go to Powell when I get back. I'm getting way tan and super blonde(r). The weather is hot hot hot and after it rains, it's even hotter. Tell Crane Carlos says “hi”! I'm happy here!

I'm sure everything will go really well with trek. Bishop Nielson is a great man. I bet your excited for trek! It will go by fast. Just have a good attitude about it and be patient with the kids, I know you will have fun.

We do not live by a Walgreens or Walmart. The closest place we live is a 5 mile bike ride away so we don't really get a chance to go. I will send pictures home when I get a chance. It's sooo busy...we have no time to ourselves really. I will send my letters home, too. I haven't received my package yet, I'm sure I will soon. It seems like it takes forever for mail to get here. Getting mail really does make my day but I only get it once a week if I'm lucky. I have NO time to get me new shoes. None whatsoever, or I would. Stamps would be nice if possible, too. Could I possibly get the shoes half a size smaller?

What else is going on at home? I miss all of you, but I'm happy here. And I know for a fact this is what I need to be doing. I can't imagine myself doing anything else at this point in my life.

Have a good week!!!!

Elder Hudson
